FAMILY

Composed of the following Ministries:

Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it;  unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain. (Psalm 127:1)

VISION

To carry out the task of discipleship (Matthew 28: 19-20) in the family members and relationships that both may be transformed and become agents of transformation in expanding God's kingdom and His Church.

MISSION

To nurture, to equip, and to empower family members to wholeness, to intimacy with the Lord, and to unity with each other thereby building strong families that will yield a strong Church, a strong community, and a strong nation.

OUR CORE VALUES

Love (for God and for others)

"And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength." (Mark 12:30-31)

Love for God with all of our being essentially leads to giving one's self more and more to others.  The route to love is essentially the route to discipleship denying one's desire for Christ's sake and for others.

Trust (in God for everything)

And those who know Thy Name will put their trust in Thee, for Thou, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek Thee. (Psalm 9:10-11)

Trust God completely and allow Him the freedom to point us in the right direction.  Not only do we have to trust Him in everything but we also have to remember that "God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them." (Romans 8:28)

Humility (Being a servant of God and to others)

"Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up." (James 4:10)

Maintain an attitude of deference toward God and other persons. As servants of God, there should be respect for all of God's creation, including our fellow human beings.

Integrity (Being honest and righteous to God and to others)

"You are witnesses, and so is God, how devoutly and uprightly and blamelessly we behave toward believers." (1 Thessalonians 2:10)

Lead lives that are trustworthy. Our call is to do as we teach, to do as we say, and to act as we teach others to act.

Discipleship (Share the love of Christ through discipleship, mentoring, and role modelling)

"For I have chosen him, so that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice." (Genesis 18:19)

The family is a primary place for discipleship, training, and character development. An attitude of mentoring and teaching exists for the purpose of blessing and maturing others that they could take a viable and vital role in leadership within the greater Christian community.
