“Water Wall”

Exodus 14: 22, 29: “And the sons of Israel went through the midst of the sea on the dry land, and the waters were like a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.” Wanna see the excellence of God’s salvation? Twice here, in two different verses, Moses mentions that God not only parted the waters of the Red Sea, but they became like a wall for the Israelites. If he had made a big, wide path in the waters, the Egyptian’s chariots could have gone around the pillar of fire and soon caught up with the slow-marching Israelites. But because the sea was close on either side, “like a wall,” the Israelites were kept safe from he Egyptians until they had crossed over, and only then did their walls of water fall like the walls of Jericho forty years later (Joshua 6: 20). You see, God thinks of everything!
