“Revelation of the Bluff”

John 7: 52: “They answered and said to him, ‘You are not also from Galilee, are you? Search, and see that no prophet arises out of Galilee.’” This is one of history’s greatest bluffs. The Pharisees were very familiar with Isaiah 9, which is read every Christmas and says that the Christ would operate in Galilee. They were just hoping no one would follow through on it. Whenever someone challenges you to check something out, do it—they might be bluffing, too.
