“Blessings within the Curse”

Genesis 3: 21: “And the Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them.” After cursing both Adam and Eve for their role in the fall, a curse that included increased labor in childbirth, increased labor in food production, and expulsion from the Garden, He proves that, regardless of those things, He is still their God. In providing for them a covering, protection from the elements, He shows He’s still their shepherd. And the animal sacrificed to provide that skin was a type of Jesus Christ, whose sacrifice of Himself on Calvary broke this curse, and opened the gates of Eden once more. God has never stopped loving His children.
