He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. (Psalm 103:10)

Many Christians, if not all, believe that God is a god of justice. They're right. He is. But not of the kind that is popular and based on the lex talionis, the law of retaliation. His brand of righteousness and justice, which are the foundation of His throne, bestows mercy to everyone. He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The Lord's Prayer doesn't just voice a petition for God’s kingdom to come and for His will to be done on earth as in heaven, it also outlines how it will be fulfilled: we receiving the grace of His forgiveness and paying it forward. Let us act on this prayer that we hopefully say daily.
