John 3: 31:“He Who comes from above is above all, He Who is of the earth is from the earth and speaks of the earth. He Who comes from heaven is above all.” So, which one of these is Jesus? All three. He is the eternal Word, proceeding from the Father; He is the One born of the substance of His mother, from the earth and speaking of earthly things in parables to help us understand spiritual things; He is the second Person of the heavenly Holy Trinity made Incarnate, come to save us.
