Easter Friday, April 14: “Resurrection Truth”
John 16: 13: “But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on his own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.”
Do you know how many times the Bible records Jesus saying the word ‘truth’? Twenty-one, and that’s in the Gospel of John alone. It’s obviously a big issue with Him, to the point that He says, “It is to your advantage that I go away, so the Spirit of Truth will come (v. 7) Through the resurrection and ascension of the Truth (John 14: 6), the Spirit of Truth can descend, proceeding from the Father, to lead us into all truth. No one or nothing else can make that claim.
