Friday, December 27: “Restoration of Nearness”

Psalm 145: 14, 18: “The Lord sustains all who fall and raises up all who are bowed down … the Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.”

As Psalm 73: 28 says, “The nearness of God is my good.” No place is too remote so as to go unobserved by the Lord Jesus; as the incarnate God/Man seated at the right hand of the Father, He sees all and knows all. Thus, when we fall or are bowed down, His arm is not too short to save (Isaiah 59: 1). And it all started on that night in Bethlehem, when the Word came to His own (John 1: 11).
