Friday, November 29: “Blessed Reign”

Luke 19: 38: “Blessed is the King Who comes in the Name of the Lord!”

In the same psalm in which was prophesied the glorification of the Cornerstone (Psalm 118), Israel was instructed how to to address Him when He came to them: with these very words (Psalm 118: 26). Sadly, they got the words right; however, their actions went horribly wrong. But that doesn’t mean He wasn’t the King Who came in the Name of the Lord. As those in the Parable of the Minas, they just somehow failed to receive Him.
