Friday, November 8: “Bountiful Kingdom”

Luke 13: 32b: “Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I reach My goal.”

We all get excited about delivering demoniacs and curing sickness, and eagerly seek these gifts. Yes, they were a part of Jesus’ ministry, to demonstrate God’s compassion and power. But His goal? Not just to heal a few folk, or just to reach Jerusalem. His goal was to bring God’s Kingdom to earth, where God’s will would be done, and righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit would flow in abundance. And here’s the Good News: Jesus reached that goal!
