Friday, September 27: “Plan for Peace”

Luke 4: 34, 35: “‘Let us alone! What business do we have with each other, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know Who You are–the Holy One of God!’  But Jesus rebuked him, saying, ‘Be quiet and come out of him!’ And when the demon had thrown him down in the midst of the people, he came out of him without doing him any harm.”

The demon’s comfort zone was destruction. He was bringing it to the man he was possessing, and expected it from Jesus. Jesus, however, is the Prince of Peace, and sent the demon back where he belonged, while causing no harm to the innocent victim. Know that God’ plans and desire for peace on earth will come to be, because Jesus Christ has the authority and power to make it happen. Meanwhile, the devil’s plans for destruction will come only upon himself.
