Should we go on sinning because we are not under Law but under grace? Of course not! (Romans 6:15)

The common misconception about the good news of God's grace is that we can live sinful lives since that grace abounds even more than sin. Such indicates a lack of repentance, which is a renewing of the mind regarding the way that leads to life and that which leads to destruction. It's like thinking we don't need to take protective measures against Covid since God takes care of our hospital bill, and it's okay to be isolated from all people including family, and having a ventilator shoved down our throats for days on end.

What we are delivered from is the deception that sin is enjoyable. While it may be for a short while, it's really not worth pursuing it. The true response to God's grace is obedience to Him, not as a requirement or a repayment, but an expression of thankfulness.
