Does this mean that God has rejected His Jewish people forever? Of course not! His purpose was to make his salvation available to the Gentiles, and then the Jews would be jealous and begin to want God’s salvation for themselves. (Romans 11:11)

The Israelites were the first group of people God called to be His instruments through whom He plans to save all other men. They may have failed to fulfill their calling and may be going through a partial hardening (Romans 11:25), but God used that to make salvation available to non-Jews and stir them up to jealousy so that they may come back to Him. Because the will of Him Who is no respecter of persons has always been eternal life for all.

So it you stumble and fall, understand that it is not the end. Your Master is able to make you stand again. His plan is the summing up and perfection of all things in Christ, including you. So get with the program.
