July 16, 2024 Daily Dose of Discernment

It will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. (Matthew 25:14)

In the Parable of the Talents, Jesus gives a picture of God as someone who entrusts the wealth of His kingdom to His servants. We have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in His Son and are told to go forth, multiply, and fill the earth with His knowledge and glory.

The lesson is about being productive with the good things we have been lavished with. As we are, we are given more ability. But if we are idle, we let whatever we have go to waste. But note that God's intention is for us to prosper, not be timid. Hence the blessing.
