So then let us pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another. (Romans 14:19)

Sadly, there are certain quarters in society, and even in the Church, who are more concerned about being right than being kind. That's why I consider it a blessing to be part of an ecumenical group (the Manila Church People Ecumenical Fellowship) which embodies what Paul encourages in the verse above - the pursuit of peace and the good of one another - in the spirit of love and mutual respect.

As someone sang it, life is very short and there's no time for fussing and fighting, my friend. God is creative and generative, not destructive. As children who were made in His likeness, let no unwholesome word or deed proceed from our heart and mouth, but only such as is good for edification so that it may give grace to the recipient, and glory to our Father.
