Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Matthew 21:33)
After a discourse on the wretchedness of man who, although he wants to do good, evil is present in him and causes him to sin, Paul now concludes that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ who sets us free from our body which is infected by death.
A common error is to make the phrase "in Christ Jesus" a qualifier, to mean that only those who put themselves in Him (by their own works, I might add) will not be condemned. The truth is, just as in Adam all die (which disqualifies no one), so also in Christ all will be made alive. That is our hope - freedom from the corruption of sin and death, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Thanks be to God because by His doing, not ours, we all are in Christ Jesus.
