Isaiah 8: 19b, 20: “Should not a people consult their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living? To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn.” If we have no hope, it is because we are looking for it in the wrong place. You won’t find it in spiritism or occultist practices. It is in the law and the testimony (the scriptures) that we find hope (Romans 15: 4), it is in the Word of God that faith comes (Romans 10: 17), and understanding will only dawn upon us through the light of God’s Word, the lamp unto our feet and the light unto our path (Psalm 119: 105). That’s the place to look!
