Greater is one who prophesies than one who speaks in tongues. (1 Corinthians 14:5)

The greatest in the kingdom of God is he who serves and considers himself to be the least and so puts the needs of others above those of himself, regarding them as more important. This is why Saint Paul says that he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks in tongues, because he who speaks in tongues edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church (1 Corinthians 14:4).

If we want to be great in the kingdom of God and in the eyes of Jesus, its King, we need to humbly apply this principle. It's the loudest and clearest way to proclaim that that kingdom is here.
