But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. (Psalm 37:11)

One of the Beatitudes Jesus preached validates what David’s statement above, that the meek will inherit the earth and will delight themselves in abundant prosperity and peace. And like the word “Beatitudes” means, observing its teachings results in double-blessings and happiness.

Violent men take God’s kingdom by force because that’s what they think is the way to obtain things. This is not so among the followers of its meek King. It is the humble who inherit His promises. It’s not naiveté; it’s wisdom. But the way to flourish in the government that is upon Jesus’ shoulders, to which there will be no end.
