May 9, 2024 Daily Dose of Discernment

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:18-19)

Forty days after His resurrection, Jesus ascended on high. Now, He sits at the right hand of His Father, ruling and reigning as Lord of heaven and earth. This world is now taken over by its rightful King and the new order is now unity and love as seen in the community of the Godhead, of Whom He is the exact representation. Having all authority, He now commissions us to baptize all nations in the name of the Trinity, immersing them into their fellowship and nature, not just getting people to go through a ceremony. We do this until all the earth is filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. Like a mustard seed, we start with our local community. As He promised, He will be with us through the whole process.
