“God Intentions XXIII”
Psalm 25: 4: “Make me know Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths.”
In the Hebrew, a ‘way’ is a method of doing something or a mode of action, while a ‘path’ is a well-trodden road or track. The Lord intends for us to know His ways, for they are not the same as man’s ways (Isaiah 55: 8, 9); and to walk in His paths, because they lead us to the places He intends us to be (Psalm 23: 3). To get ‘off-track’ is to end up in affliction and trouble, which is why we need to learn God’s way, i.e., to ask for forgiveness (v. 18).
