Psalm 80: 19: “O Lord God of hosts, restore us; cause Your face to shine upon us, and we will be saved.” There was one thing in Eden that has never existed in heaven, yet is still among us today. While “God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all” (1 John 1: 5), in Eden there was morning and evening; evening and morning: darkness. There was also a tempter trying to lure God’s new creation into that darkness, which is caused by the chronic misuse of free will. But when we, of our own free will, call upon Him “Who dwells in unapproachable light” (1 Timothy 6: 16) He comes to us, and delivers us from that darkness. (1 John 1: 7)
