Monday, October 16: “Live Like the Kingdom Is Real”
Matthew 10: 7: “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The Kingdom of heaven is at hand.’” When you are undertaking the cooking of a meal, you don’t turn on the oven, then go out to the market for the meat, then while it’s browning go out for the spices, then go out again later for the onions and garlic. No, the process begins by first ensuring that all necessary materials and ingredients are ‘at hand’, within easy reach. Similarly, we don’t need to wait for God to bring anything else to pass before living in His Kingdom. But do we live like it is here, at hand, within easy reach, right now? Or does it seem we’re waiting for Him to do more? If so, why?
