November 16, 2024 Daily Dose of Discernment

"If you have not been faithful with what belongs to another, who will give you your own?" (Luke 16:12)

We need to understand first that we are custodians and the Lord is the owner of all things - of the earth and all it contains. It doesn’t matter if our name is written on a certificate of title; everything belongs to God. Secondly, we will give an account of what we are entrusted with. And third, that our deeds and the way we do them have future ramifications.

With these in mind, in humility, let us be good stewards, motivated by service and not driven by fear. If we realize the immense blessing God wants us to have as a result of our faithfulness, we will do all things with joy and gratitude.
