November 27, 2024 Daily Dose of Discernment

… a plan for the fullness of times, to sum up all things in Christ, in heaven and on earth. (Ephesians 1:10)

According to His kind intention, God reveals to us the mystery of His will, His grand plan to gather together into one harmonious whole all things in His Son, so that everything that exists, though presently in a temporary fallen state, may find its fulfilment in Him, just like He intended in the beginning.

It is therefore wise to repent, that is, to change from a belief and trust in a false gospel of doom spread by scaremongers to the good news of great joy proclaimed by the angels to the shepherds. If we have been operating in fear that the world is deteriorating and running out of resources, driving us to accumulate and hoard for our own needs until we we evacuate it for a better place, it is time for a paradigm shift. We should now realize that God has put in motion the restoration of all things and their reconciliation to Him. "For from Him, through Him and to Him are all things" as Paul says. What hope we have. Let's not lose it.
