Isaiah 28: 16: “Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone, a costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. He who believes in it will not be disturbed.” In the construction methods of the day when this prophecy was given, the first stone laid when building a structure was the most important. It had to be perfect, for all other stones followed the trajectory it set. It had to be strong, without defects, for the weight of the entire building rested upon it. Buildings constructed in this manner have lasted for thousands of years, all due to their precise, indestructible precious cornerstones. And in our lives, that cornerstone is Jesus. So, there is no need to be disturbed by anything, if we believe!
