Saturday, February 3: “God Intentions XIV”

John 7: 35“The Jews then said to one another, ‘Where does this man intend to go that we will not find Him? He is not intending to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks, is He?”

The answer to this double-barrelled question of the Jews is no … and yes. While Jesus never made a foray into Greek territory as their teacher (Samaria is not Greece), the Greeks did, soon after this account, come to Him in Jerusalem (John 12: 20-36). And today He still goes to the Greeks (Gentiles) through His children, and teaches them through His children, and loves them through His children … and that right there is God’s intention for the Greeks.
