Saturday, February 6: “Listen to Heaven”

Psalm 76: 8, 9: “You caused judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still, when God arose to judgment, to save all the humble of the earth.” As said on Monday, sounds of judgmental condemnation are proliferating in these days; they are hard to get away from. But there is another voice, a voice from heaven—the voice of salvation for the humble. As St. Peter says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble (1 Peter 5: 5b). Let this be the voice we listen to, the voice we obey, that we may be “perfected, confirmed, strengthened, and established. (v. 10) Amen!
