Saturday, March 16: “A Matter of Perspective VII”

1 Corinthians 13: 4, 5, 6:“Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly, it does not seek its own … does not rejoice in unrighteousness ….”

Stacked up against St. Paul’s standard of love, the aberration thus labeled in cinema, TV, and socmed, with its greed, selfishness, and “I can’t wait, I love you too much to wait!” manipulations, does not rate the title, no matter how many chocolate hearts and teddy bears are thrown in. Boys and girls, whenever someone tosses the “L” word at you, make sure what they exhibit toward you passes the 1 Corinthians 13 litmus test. That perspective is the only one to follow.
