Saturday, September 5: “Show Your Blessings”

Luke 6: 38:“Give and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure–pressed down, shaken together, and running over: For by your standard of measure will it be measured to you in return.”

What good is it to have a blessing in your lap, and who is this ‘they’ who pours it? Perhaps it is poured by divine servants of God (angels, whoever), and it is poured into the lap rather than a pocket or a container for one purpose: visibility. All can see the blessing in your lap, and all can see the reason it was given–generosity. And that’s the reason we’re blessed!
