So He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them. (Luke 4:39)

Right upon receiving her healing, Peter's mother-in-law served Jesus. God's will is that we, being delivered out of the hands of our enemies, might serve Him without fear (Luke 1:74). Sin and its consequences, which are physical and spiritual sickness and utlimatetely death, are our enemies. We are healed and freed from the corruption of sin and death so that we can be servants of the Lord. That's what constitutes eternal life.

If we cheapen God's grace by living in sin because He pardons us anyway, it doesn't invalidate its efficacy. But it does make us forfeit its benefits that are freely intended for our fullness of life. So let us not defeat the purpose of our God-given health by being active in serving our lusts and idle when it comes to our God-given work.
