Habakkuk 2: 20: “The Lord is in His holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before Him.” There’s been a lot of talking this year. Our news feeds are cram-packed with it, with or without accompanying video or graphics. Everyone has a spin on what has happened, what is happening, or what will happen. Habakkuk sees a time the Lord enters His house, like a Judge taking his seat in the courtroom, and it gets real still. And quiet. Because the only Voice that matters is about to speak. In those times, it’s best to listen.
