Colossians 1: 19, 20:“It was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in [Christ], and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.”
Revelation 12: 7, speaking of an event that occurred in the age previous to this one, says, “There was war in heaven.” We all know about the multitude of wars on earth, from the days of Cain until now. But Christ has come to make peace: in heaven, on earth, and best of all, between heaven and earth. Heaven has figured this out already, earth, not so much; which is why Jesus instructs us to pray that His Kingdom of peace would spread from heaven to earth (Matthew 6: 10). As the angels told the shepherds on the night of the Nativity, Christ has come to save us by bringing peace (Luke 2: 11-14)
