Sunday, January 28: “God Intentions VIII”

Psalm 29: 4: “The voice of the Lord is powerful, the voice of the Lord is majestic.”

Concerning the idols of the nations, another psalmist says “They have mouths, but they do not speak” (Psalm 135: 16). It is not so with the Lord. As David says here, He has a voice, and He knows how to use it! His wilderness-shaking, fire-hewing, forest-stripping voice rules in glory and strength! And the most powerful words His voice utters? “I will be their God, and they shall be My people” (Jeremiah 31: 33, et al). There’s His majesty right there.
