Sunday, June 23: “The Influential Few”

Numbers 14: 29-31: “Your corpses will fall in this wilderness … according to your complete number from twenty years old and upward, who have grumbled against Me. Surely you will not come into the land in which I swore to settle you, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun. Your children, however, whom you said would become a prey–I will bring them in, and they will know the land which you rejected.”

You can look at this one of two ways: either that the fearful failure of ten caused the downfall of hundreds of thousands; or, the faithful righteousness of two led to the success of their descendants, a group just as large. It doesn’t take an army to influence a multitude for good. Your own personal witness can do much more than you think.
