Sunday, October 6: “The Witness of Man”

Psalm 145: 6: “Men shall speak of the power of Your awesome acts, and I will tell of Your greatness.”

Isaiah promises that “There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace on the throne of David and over his Kingdom.” (Isaiah 9: 7) What is God’s plan to sustain the growth of that Kingdom? Witness. A witness is one who sees and experiences something, then shows and tells what he has seen and experienced. This witness is given by words and, more importantly, by the impact on the witnesses’ life. We God’s people are, above all, to be witnesses of His power and greatness in all their various manifestations. Kingdom life is as simple as that.
