THE HANDS THAT SERVE

“Then this one with human appearance touched me again and strengthened me.” Daniel 10:18 The experience of being in lockdown for more than a year now, since the start of the pandemic, has made us realize how important it is to go outside and see other people. This isolation has brought loneliness and depression to many. How much more so for those locked up for years in prison?

The Shepherd’s Touch ministry envisions being like Jesus, visiting the prisons and feeding the hungry. It is their mission to touch the lives of persons deprived of liberty and to share with them the salvation of Christ. Their logo’s symbols, colors, and slogan illustrate the ministry’s vision. The CROSS represents the Lord our Shepherd Who guides and directs the ministry. The HEART illustrates the manifestation of Christ’s character and nature. The HAND signifies the power of God. Surrounding all these symbols and colors is embedded the ministry’s slogan “HELP, BUILD and RESTORE”.

Shepherd’s Touch continues to serve and minister to persons deprived of liberty at the Correctional Institute for Women every quarter. They also have an additional monthly activity, which is the Alay Tinapay, where the ministers give food to the homeless living in the streets. Most of the goods that the ministry provides at CIW and Alay Tinapay are from donations and sponsors. Because of the continuous flow of support from blessed givers, the ministry can continue to serve those in need.

The Shepherd’s Touch ministry would like to thank all the donors and sponsors who have given in the past and who continuously support the ministry. For those who would like to give, message us at Cathedral of the King’s Facebook page or contact Dcn. Nestor Ison at 09171188989. . . . . . #COTK #CEC
