Thursday, February 1: “God Intentions XII”

Psalm 113: 7-9: “[The Lord] raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap, to make them sit with princes, the princes of His people. He makes the barren woman abide in the house as a joyful mother of children. Praise the Lord!”

The poor, the needy, the barren–it was not the Lord’s intention that they become that way, and it is not His intention that they remain that way. They sit with princes (nobles) because He makes them noble; they abide joyfully in God’s house because He created them to abide in joy there. To understand the ultimate intention of God look not to man’s current devestations on the earth, but to the Kingdom of Heaven as seen in Revelation 21 and 22.
