Thursday, July 20: “Limited Logic”
Psalm 37: 7, 9: “Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who carries out wicked schemes … For evildoers will be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord, they will inherit the land.”
It is only logical to fret and panic when we observe wickedness seeming to prosper. But that’s as far as logic goes. Faith, on the other hand, goes beyond what we can see. When we learn from that faith to rest in the Lord and wait on Him Whom we cannot see, we reap benefits far beyond those that logic can offer.
