Thursday, May 2: “The Profundity of Priesthood V”

2 Thessalonians 1: 11: “To this end we also pray for you always, that our God will count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power.”

How can we possibly be worthy of our calling as a priest unto the Lord in the manner of Jesus Christ our great High Priest? Fear not, He has equipped us to be so. It requires goodness; a fruit of the Holy Spirit. It requires faith; a gift of the Holy Spirit. And the very essence of the Holy Spirit is power. As we desire these things, the Spirit fulfills, and we are counted worthy in Him of our calling.
