Thursday, November 7: “Bountiful Migration”

Luke 13: 23, 29: “And someone said to Him, ‘Lord, are there just a few who are being saved?’ And He said to them … ‘They will come from east and west and north and south, and will recline at the table in the Kingdom of God.’”

“Strive to enter through the narrow door” (v. 24) was not the entire answer Jesus gave to this inquiry concerning salvation. True, it’s not easy, but it’s not exclusive, either. The phrase “they will come from east and west and north and south” indicates a great multitude, as in Revelation 9: 7. And if you’re still not convinced, consider Matthew 8: 11, where Jesus says that “many will come” to the table to hang with the patriarchs. Bountiful is the harvest of God into His Kingdom!
