Thursday, September 26: “Plan for Reversal”

Esther 7: 9: “‘Behold indeed, the gallows standing at Haman’s house fifty cubits high, which Haman made for Mordecai who spoke good on behalf of the king!’ And the king said, ‘Hang him on it.’”

Haman’s plan was for the Jews’ destruction; God’s plan was for their preservation. Haman’s plan was for Mordecai  to swing from his fifty-cubit-high gallows, as tall as a six story building; God’s plan was for Mordecai’s promotion, and for Haman’s neck to be stretched. Who won? The Lord knows how to bring His plans to fulfillment, no matter who or what stands in the way.
