Tuesday, April 30: “The Profundity of Priesthood III”

Matthew 6: 12: “Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.”

We all know that in the Sacrament of Reconciliation the priest pronounces the forgiveness of sins to the penitent. Do we, in our own priesthood to the Lord, have an exemption from that duty? Not according to Jesus. You don’t need a stole and a confession box to forgive those who transgress against you; all you need is a heart of God’s love.
