Tuesday, July 23: “More Than Sky”

Psalm 47: 5, 7, 8: "God has ascended with a shout, the Lord, with the sound of a trumpet … For God is the King of all the earth. God reigns over the nations, God sits on His holy throne."

I have a lot of empathy for John Lennon. He received so much hate from those who claimed to love Jesus, and his sensitive nature was greatly hurt by this. No wonder he dreamed of a world where there was “no country” and “above us, only sky.” I pray he receives some sort of mercy from God the Father, Who has always ruled His Kingdom from His throne in Heaven above, and from Jesus Christ, Who will return to earth to rule His heavenly country right here. And that, I’m happy to say, isn’t imaginary.
