Tuesday, November 5: “Bountiful Redemption”
Revelation 14: 20: “And the wine press was trodden outside the city, and the blood came out from the wine press, up to the horses’ bridles, for a distance of two hundred miles.”
In the midst of this apocalyptic drama arises a truth of great comfort, which we will miss unless we see that the winepress outside the city is the cross of Calvary (John 19: 17; Hebrews 13: 12), and the blood flowing from it is the blood flowing from Christ’s side, metaphorically reaching a depth of four to five feet for two hundred miles. This is the blood that has redeemed mankind, and the Revelator wants to make sure we see that there is no shortage of it; God in His mercy has provided a harvest sufficient for the salvation of all who will come.
