Luke 4: 40, 41: “While the sun was setting, all who had any sick with various diseases brought them to Him, and laying His hands on every one of them, He was healing them. And demons also were coming out of many, crying out and saying, ‘You are the Son of God!’ And rebuking them, He would not allow them to speak, because they knew Him to be the Christ.” The Sabbath had passed; the time had come when the people could leave their homes. It was time for healing! And while some demonic spirits accused Jesus of “tormenting them before the time” (Matthew 8: 29), He knew Who was in charge—Him, not them. So, He shut them up and cast them out. Even the times of sickness and spirits are in the hand of the Lord—and that time is running out.
