Wednesday, January 1: “Christmas Proclaims: Jesus Is God in the Flesh!”

Colossians 2: 9: “For in [Christ] all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form.”

Jesus said, “God is Spirit.” (John 4: 24) But when the Spirit of God was placed as a seed in the womb of the virgin Mary, and she conceived and bore a Son, that Son was the Word (God) made flesh (John 1: 14). Jesus is not God’s First Lieutenant, He is God—one hundred percent—in human form. As the Athenasian Creed says, “Not created, but begotten.”
