Wednesday, March 13: “A Matter of Perspective IV”

Genesis 50: 20: “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.”

Who sends evil? Who sends good? Perhaps a more relevant question would be, “Are we qualified to make these judgments? Nope. Our vantage point is so limited, we can’t even judge the merit of whatever circumstance or event gets sent. What seems bad at the moment may, even probably, turn out to be good. From our spatially and chronologically limited perspective, we really don’t know. This being the case, whatever situation we’re dealing with, the best attitude is, “Trust God, He’s good.” Of this you can be sure.
