Wednesday, May 24: “Spirit-enabled Plan”
Ezekiel 11: 24a, 25: “And the Spirit lifted me up and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God to the exiles in Chaldea … Then I told the exiles all the things that the Lord had shown me.”
The Lord had shown Ezekiel His plan in verse 23: For His glory to move from the center of the city (Jerusalem, the Old Covenant) to the Mount of Olives (associated with Jesus, the New Covenant). Now He wanted the prophet to prophesy the plan to the exiles in Chaldea. Problem was, Ezekiel was in Jerusalem (in his vision). This was not in the least problematic for the Lord, however, Whose Spirit lifted Ezekiel up and brought him to the intended audience. Was this unusual? No, every day the Holy Spirit lifts up God’s servants to enable them to carry out His plans.
