Wednesday, September 2: “Show Your Faith”
Psalm 101: 6: “My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in a blameless way is the one who will minister to me.”
Being the king, David constantly had many people claiming many things to him in an effort to win his favor. So he learned to keep his eyes on and believe those who were faithful to live, not just talk about, what they believed. That blameless walk was more valuable to him than a slew of empty words. That’s why he speaks so strongly here against the deceitful; they can mislead him, and his whole nation.
